# Credits

> Understanding credit usage and limits

Our API uses a credit-based system to manage usage. Different operations consume different amounts of credits.

## Credit Costs

| ---------------- | ---------- |
| Email Enrichment | 3 credit   |
| Phone Enrichment | 30 credits |

## Daily Limits

We enforce a daily profile extraction limit of 2,500 credits per account. This helps ensure:

* Stable and reliable service for all users
* Fair resource allocation
* Account protection against abuse

## Best Practices

1. **Monitor Usage**

   * Track your daily credit consumption
   * Set up alerts before reaching limits
   * Plan batch operations around daily limits

2. **Optimize Operations**

   * Use bulk endpoints for better efficiency
   * Prioritize essential enrichments
   * Cache results when possible to avoid duplicate requests

3. **Plan Ahead**
   * Estimate credit needs based on operation types
   * Consider upgrading your plan for higher limits
   * Space out large operations across multiple days
